Moisés Fernández Cano is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow on the project AIDS Campaigning between the Global South and Western Europe since the 1980s at the University of Stirling (UK). He holds a PhD in History from the European University Institute in Florence, where his doctoral research examined dissident intimacies and sexual practices under Francoist Spain. He has been a Visiting Researcher at Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (2022) and the University of Toronto (2023). His research focuses on sexual dissidence, archives, and memory.

Mbali Pewa is a Human Geographer with a PhD from the University of Hull. Her work explores gender and development through the lens of intersectionality, focusing on the lived experiences of Black women.

Koonal Duggal is Research Fellow in the division of History, Heritage and Politics at the University of Stirling with a PhD in Cultural Studies from the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad (India). Prior to joining the University of Stirling, he was Research Fellow in the Leverhulme Trust-funded project ‘Gurus, Anti-gurus and Media in North India’ (2020–22) at the department of Social Anthropology, University of Edinburgh. He is co-editor of Gurus and Media: Sound, Image, Machine, Text and the Digital (UCL Press, 2023). His research interests include the politics of caste, social movements, Dalit and Queer aesthetics, religion, media studies, and popular visual culture.
Dr Merve Alçayır

Merve Alçayır is a Research Fellow in the Division of History, Heritage and Politics at the University of Stirling. She holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. Her research explores the cultural representations of disability and long-term conditions, and how these intersect with individuals’ lived experiences.
